CAMPAIGN FOR THE ABOLITION OF TERRIER WORK

BNP Scum Exposed

The entire membership list of the pro-hunting British National Party has been posted on the internet, identifying thousands of people as secret supporters of the far right and exposing many to the risk of dismissal from work or disciplinary action - and not before time too!

As has been documented elsewhere, many involved in bloodsports, especially terrier work, are openly racist; both appeal to low intelligent people. Among those listed is David Harcombe, editor of a pathetic low brow terrier work magazine and author(we use the term loosely) of a book on badger digging.

Although the site that posted the membership list has been sadly closed, the list has been so widely published that there must be several hundred copies out there already.

Men Bragged About Dog Attack on Badgers

BADGER attackers Christopher Hindmarsh and Justin Lang boasted about their exploits to police.

They also filmed one attack on a badger and bragged in text messages about how they had captured and killed the animals, a court was told.

Hindmarsh, 28, of Alwinton Square, and Lang, 24, of Norham Road, both Ashington, admitted charges linked to badger-baiting when they appeared before magistrates at Alnwick.

Both men were granted unconditional bail until later this month, when they will be sentenced. (posted: 9.11.08) read more

October 2008 Update

An area we’ve been seeking legal opinion is in relation to the exemptions to the Hunting Act regarding terrier work. We would advise all monitors that the digging out of foxes under the pretence of ‘game protection’ would not hold up in court once the pheasants are released from their pens. As most pheasants are released by August no hunt or terrier man would able to use it in their defence. Please pass this to all monitors.

Badger Baiting: Lancashire Man Arrested

A Lancashire man has been arrested and bailed after allegedly being caught illegally digging a badger sett near Whitchurch. The man, who was discovered with four terrier dogs, fled the scene and was arrested by the police in Lancashire. He has subsequently been interviewed and bailed pending further enquiries.
