Racist Badger Baiter Fined

Badger Baiter Tony BillingtonA Lancashire terrierman convicted of badger digging has been fined for a racist outburst at a coloured BBC cameraman.

Tony Billington, 37, of Eveswood Close, Bamber Bridge, Preston, was convicted in February 2006 of digging for badgers has been further convicted and fined £600 plus costs at Cannock Magistrates Court for his racist and verbal abuse of the BBC cameraman.

Police took further action against Billington following complaints from the public and the BBC following his outburst when he appeared at Cannock in March for sentencing.

Mr Billington was commenting after leaving court following his latest conviction.
